(1) BALANCE HOT TUB WATER

Protect Hot Tub Surfaces and Equipment

Follow Dealer’s directions for amounts and applications.

T.A. (Total Alkalinity) Measure of hot tub waters’ ability to buffer itself against changes in pH.

• Ideal Range 120 ppm - 150 ppm

• If Low - Add Spa Buffer

• If High - Add Spa Down

pH - Measure of hot tub waters acidity.

• Proper Range 7.6 - 7.8

• If Low - Add Spa Plus

• If High - Add Spa Down or Spa Minus

C.H. (Calcium Hardness) Measure Of dissolved calcium in water.

• Ideal Range Acrylic Hot Tub 150 - 275 ppm

• Concrete Hot Tub 200 - 275 ppm

• If Low - Add Spa Cal

• If High - Add Spa Glo

Temperature

• Ideal range 32°C - 40°C or 90°F - 104°F

• If temperature high - Scale formation.

TDS (Total Dissolved Solids) The accumulation of dissolved chemicals in the hot tub water.

• As TDS rises, increased cloudiness, foaming and scum line formation may occur.

 

NOTE: Total Alkalinity, pH and Calcium Hardness readings/parameters have been adjusted to compensate for the scaling nature of warmer hot tub water.

 

(2) SANITATION - Protect Hot Tub Bathers

• Properly sanitized hot tub water protects bathers from bacteria and micro-organisms.

• For daily sanitation, use one of these products: Brominating Tablets for Spas and Hot Tubs or Spa Pucks or Spa Tabs.

• Follow dealer directions for amounts and applications.

 

(3) OXIDIZE - Eliminate Organic Build-Up Caused by Hot Tub Bathers

Use one of these products to oxidize hot tub water after use:
