Start-Up
o    Fill the hot tub through the skimmer or the filter area to eliminate the chance of an air lock.  Once full, start pump, with the aeration off and wait until it is a minimum of 75 degrees.
o    Once the Hot Tub is a minimum 75 degrees, add initial dose of Mursatt Spa Glo (50ml/1000L)
o    Bring a water sample to your Mursatt Certified Retailer for a water balance recommendation.
o    Balance water according to your Mursatt Certified Retailer’s recommendations.
o    Allow water to circulate for 2 hours.
o    Apply Mursatt Spa Boost, Spa Shine or Spa Chlor per label directions ( typically 2 scoops per 1,000L).  Ensure that the pump and filters are operating and leave the cover off for a minimum of 15 minutes after application.  Allow water to circulate for at least 15 minutes before proceeding to the next step.
o    Add initial dose of Spa Perfect (120ml). Ensure pumps are operating.
o    Fill your tablet dispenser with 5-6 Mursatt Brominating Tablets for Hot Tubs and adjust the opening to maintain a continuous level of 3.0 - 5.0 Bromine through the week.

 

As Required
o    Test Sanitizer, pH, Total Alkalinity with Aquachek Bromine Test Strips.  Adjust the opening in your tablet dispenser or add Mursatt Brome+ should the sanitizer level fall below 3.0 ppm.  Always maintain bromine reading between 3.0 – 5.0 ppm.  The pH level should be maintained at 7.4-7.6 and the Total Alkalinity between 100 - 120 ppm.
o    Add Mursatt Spa Boost, Spa Shine, or Spa Chlor (1 scoop per 1000L) after each use to oxidize contaminants and replenish the bromine residual. Allow water to circulate for 15 minutes with pump off.

 

Weekly
o    Check the pH and Alkalinity using Test Strip and balance according to the back of the label.
o    Add weekly dose of Mursatt Spa Glo (25ml per 1000L).  Ensure pumps are operating.
o    Oxidize Weekly by adding Mursatt Spa Boost, Spa Shine, or Spa Chlor (1 scoop per 1000L).  Allow water to circulate for 15 minutes with cover off and wait 15 minutes before moving to the next step.
o    Add weekly dose of Spa Perfect (120 ml) to remove organics and enhance system.
o    Re-fill tablet dispenser with 5-6 Mursatt Brominating Tablets to ensure a Bromine reading of 3.0 – 5.0ppm.
o    Put hot tub in standby and remove filter.  Rinse filter with a garden hose and empty debris from skimmer basket.
o    Clean waterline with Mursatt Tilex or Natural Chemistry Clean & Perfect if necessary.

 

Monthly
o    Have water tested at your Mursatt Certified retailer.  Adjust pH, Total Alkalinity and calcium hardness as required.
o    Clean filter using Mursatt Filter-Nu as per label directions.
